Kennel Cough
Kennel Cough is Not Deadly
Help keep you pet as healthy as you can by giving vaccines and keeping them away from other pets when they are sick.

Think of the kennel cough vaccine like you would the flu shot.
Basically this shot consists of three or four of the most
common kennel cough strands. Your dog is not guaranteed
not to contract any of these strands of cough and is not covered
against the thousands of strands out there. The kennel cough
is to a dog like the flu is to a human. You do NOT need vet
care to get over a kennel cough as long as there are no other
symptoms than the cough. This cough will pass anywhere
from three days to three weeks and the cough can get rather
rough. If you are worried take your dog to the vet but all he will
do is give you cough suppressants. Robitussin will work just
as well.
Please also keep in mind that this is contagious. If your dog
has kennel cough please keep it isolated so your other pets,
and your neighbors pets, don't catch it.
